Your safety at Innkeeper's

At Innkeeper’s, your safety is our priority and we want your stay to be as safe and comfortable as possible, and so in line with Government guidelines, we have made some changes to our hotel and restaurants.

Hotels in Wales

Unfortunately, following government restrictions, we are having to close our Innkeeper’s Collection Cardiff hotel (The Beverley) until 9 November 2020. If you have a booking during the closure period, we will cancel your booking. Our Central Reservations team are contacting all affected guests now, please bear with us while we contact everyone.

Hotels in Scotland

Unfortunately, following government restrictions, we are having to close our Innkeeper’s Lodge Edinburgh North (The Hawes Inn) hotel until 24 October 2020. If you have a booking during the closure period, we will try to relocate you to another Innkeeper’s hotel, or you may cancel your booking. Our Central Reservations team are contacting all affected guests now, please bear with us while we contact everyone.

Our Innkeeper’s Lodge Edinburgh West (Toby Carvery), Innkeeper’s Lodge Glasgow East (Toby Carvery), Innkeeper’s Lodge Loch Lomond (Balloch House) and Innkeeper’s Collection Edinburgh South (The Melville) are all remaining open. There will be some changes to breakfast and dinner times following the recent government restrictions, please contact the restaurant directly to check these revised times and book or amend any existing table bookings.

Local Government Restrictions

Please ensure you follow the local government restrictions for the area you are visiting, as some areas will not allow shared households to stay in the same room. It is the guests responsibility to check these restrictions in advance.

Face Coverings

It is now mandatory for guests and team members to wear a face covering when moving around any public areas of hotels and in bars and restaurants. It is not necessary to wear a mask when seated at your table. This does not apply to children under 5 in Scotland and children under 11 in England and Wales, or for guests with medical exemptions. The rule does not apply to team members operating behind a screen or where there is a 2m separation from our guests e.g. serving behind a bar.

Check-in

The latest time guests can now check in will be 9pm. If you need to check-in after 9pm, you will need to contact the hotel directly in advance of arriving. We’re trying to make our check-in process as quick and contact-free as possible. Over the coming weeks we’ll introduce more ways to pay for your room in advance and options to complete your registration details before you arrive. Social distancing will be in place at check-in, so please be considerate to our teams and other guests when you arrive.

Test and Trace Scheme

As well as fully supporting the Government’s NHS Test & Trace scheme, it’s really important that we continue to collect our own track and trace data. By doing this we will be able to contact any affected guests and team members as quickly as possible in the event of a COVID outbreak. You'll be asked to scan a QR code to register your contact details, as well as checking your information on our registration cards. Your data collected through the NHS Test & Trace scheme will not be used for any other purposes and will be disposed of securely within 21 days of your visit.

Cleaning

We have always had a high standard of cleaning and the cleanliness of our hotels remains a priority for us. You’ll find hand sanitiser in public areas, we’ve upgraded the cleaning products used in our hotels and our housekeeping teams have been provided with face masks when needed. We have removed some items from communal areas and also in our rooms, like extra pillows, for the safety of our teams and guests.

Toiletries

We will still provide a smaller number of complimentary toiletries for our guests, but we encourage you to bring your own, which is also better for the environment.

Food and Drink

Due to social distancing measures, the number of guests allowed in our pubs and restaurants at one time has been reduced. The opening and closing times of our pubs and restaurants have also had to change due to government guidelines. We ask all guests who would like to dine with us to book their table in advance, and ensure you check the dining times with the restaurant before you arrive. You can do this through the website of the associated pub or restaurant you’re staying with and check their Facebook page for more information. Guests staying with us can take food and drink from the restaurant back to eat in the hotel room too, where you’ll also still find complimentary tea and coffee.

Breakfast

Our breakfast has been reduced and will now be provided as a prepared take-away service. It will typically include a muffin, a breakfast bar and a piece of fruit, subject to items being available.

Check out

To minimise contact, we have key drop-off boxes in our receptions, and we can email any invoices after your stay.

Your health

If you have any Covid-19 symptoms before your stay with us, you must inform us in advance, as we cannot allow you to stay. If you develop symptoms during your stay, you must inform a member of our team immediately. We can not allow any guests to book our hotels to self-isolate.
